Shunkunitai is the sandbar lying between the Okhotsk Sea and Lake Furen. Shunkunitai and Lake Furen were together registered as a Ramsar Convention Marsh in November 2009. It is called the “Sanctuary of Wild Birds”, with around 340 kinds of wild birds registered at this moment. In the nature center there are staff who know about the local nature, so you can get to know about the seasonal animals and plants. Restrooms in the parking area are available 24hrs.

１．BUS
【From Nakashibetsu Airport】
Take the “Nakashibetsu Airport Line” bus from Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport, and get off the bus at the “Tobai” bus stop. 200 metres walk (around 2 minutes) from the stop.
【From Nemuro City Area】
Take the bus “Attoko Line” bus from the Nemuro Station Bus Terminal and get off at the “Tobai” stop. 200 metres walk (around 2 minutes) from the stop.
